A photograph is very different that a real-life meeting with a person, because a photograph is two-dimensional, and lacks the living personality of the subject which we experience and focus on when we are in their presence. So when we look at the photograph we have made after meeting the person, we are sometimes surprised by the minor imperfections in their skin that we didn't notice in person. When you want to make someone look more life like, or just look their best, this technique will help you smoothly reduce wrinkles and blemishes and yet retain the natural look and character of your portrait subject.
