If you have a password, just click on the link below to play the video. #6 - Fill Light: 13:53 If you've ever taken a portrait that was back-lit and too dark in the face, this technique will put a smile back on your face! Here's how to use a fill-light to add both light and color to your photo long after the shutter snapped! This video tutorial shows you how to add a fill-light to your back-lit photos to save those portraits that are too dark in the face or those still-lifes that need a little fill-flash. First steps from prior tutorials have already been used to adjust the tonal range & saturation levels with adjustment layers. Unwanted stray hairs from the face have been removed, and the complexion has been smoothed by reducing blemishes. To ready our photo for the fill light, we combine all those layers onto a new layer and add an omni-fill-light to brighten the dark shadows on our dancer's costume and face.
